Data communications and network services

Once you are through with the basic knowledge of what networking is and how it works, it is time to know more about the network. As part of the Cisco networking courses, the third course is about data communications and network services. The course tells you all about the limitations and benefits of the IPv4 addressing system and why NAT and IPv6 were implemented.

By the end of the course you will be able to describe the role of various network services; use the Packet tracer from Cisco to configure a router; explain use of IPv4 private addresses with NAT; describe the network services and applications for web access, file transfer and instant messaging and use various tools to verify the operations of the network.
